What the President’s Expected Gun Law Changes Could Mean

The Changes Would Close Gun Show Loop Holes

President Barack Obama is expected to go through with tightening the nation’s gun laws through executive action.

The goal of the proposal the President is expected to sign off on, is to curb gun violence by cracking down on unregulated gun sales.

Gun retailers in the Northland say as far as they know, the proposed changes won’t affect them much,

“It’s more of a gun show loop hole, private party citizens you know where 2 people purchase without doing a background check,” said Aaron Ramsy, the sales manager at Fisherman’s Corner in Duluth.

But when the federal government talks about gun control, sales spike.

Currently, businesses must run a back ground check on every transaction where a gun is purchased.

The president is expected to announce his plan to increase gun control Tuesday.
