Expecting At-Risk Mothers Receive Baby Boxes

The Boxes Contain Small Mattresses

Babies Need Boxes, a non-profit organization based in Minnesota, provided boxes of newborn baby essentials to at-risk expecting mothers served by Life House.

The boxes include items like diapers, baby clothes, and toys.

The program is modeled after Finland’s successful baby box program.

“The supplies they’re providing for us really help our youth be able to get on their feet and get what they need when they’re about to have their child,” said Ahna Pelto, the Yough Center Manager for Life House.

The box also serves as a bed for the babies and has a small mattress inside.
