6th Annual St. Louis River Summit Held in Superior
Event Was Held at UWS
The national Estuarine Research Reserve held their 6th annual St. Louis River Summit at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Community members, researchers, and students gathered to listen to Speakers present information about projects related to the river.
The theme for the summit was “Sharing Our visions” and the goal was to share ideas on different ways to protect the river.
“We’re looking at the future, and how we are making changes now to really see impact soon,” said Gail Epping Overholt, the coastal training program coordinator of NERR.
A special talk by Natalie Warren was held 7 at UWS. She described her canoe expedition from Minneapolis to the Hudson bay.
