Cloquet H.S. Showing Exhibit On Native History
Cloquet High School students are getting a chance to learn about the history of Native American relations with the United States government.
The “Why Treaties Matter” exhibit is on display at the high school’s library.
It shows how treaties made with indigenous tribes over the years, while also showing a critical eye against the U.S. government’s role in implementing those treaties.
“It’s comforting and wonderful to know that this kind of information is getting out there finally. There’s so many interpretations, and this is the truth,” said Tea Drift, a student.
The exhibit will be at the high school until Friday before headed to Fond Du Lac Community College.
