Arrowhead Bus Line Connects North Shore to Twin Ports

Connects Grand Marais to Duluth By Bus

Thanks to the new Multimodal Transportation Center in Duluth, bus service to and from the North Shore is a lot easier.

Arrowhead Transit, based out of the Iron Range, has a line that will take riders from Grand Marais down the shore to Duluth, and it connects directly to a hub at the downtown transportation center.

Those at Arrowhead say connecting to the new center makes bus travel down to Duluth less scary for the rural folks they expect to take their bus.

“I’ll walk five miles before I’ll take city transportation because I don’t know what’s going to go on once I get on a city bus,” explains Director of Marketing Larry Rodgers. “I have never taken the city bus before. But if I know exactly what bus to get on, exactly where it’s going, I’ll take the city bus.”

The Arrowhead line from Grand Marais to Duluth is available every Tuesday, and you can schedule a ride by calling their dispatch at 800-862-0175.
