Court of Appeals Judges Visit UMD

It was from the courtroom to the classroom for three judges from the Minnesota Court of Appeals on Wednesday.

The three judge panel visited the University of Minnesota-Duluth to speak with law students.

It’s all part of a statewide outreach effort by the judges for communities, and this case students, to learn more about what they do.

“It’s good for them to hear what we did before we were judges, and what we do as judges, and the difficult task that we have,” said Larry Stauber, a judge for the 8th Congressional District in the U.S. Court of Appeals.

The judges will hear oral arguments on several cases in Duluth on Friday at the St. Louis Courthouse.
