Candidates Hope To Block Trump From Winning 1,237 Delegates Before Convention
Ted Cruz and John Kasich Are working together in an effort to stop Donald Trump from getting the Republican presidential nomination.
Both campaigns have been working for weeks to block Donald Trump from Gaining the 1,237 delegates required to win the GOP nomination.
Trump continues to lead the race, and though Cruz has kept a steady second behind Trump, neither Cruz nor Kasich have a mathematical chance of securing the nomination prior to the convention this summer.
As part of their strategy to stop Trump, Cruz and Kasich are splitting their campaigning efforts in upcoming primary states. Cruz will focus on Indiana, while Kasich will prioritize grabbing voters in Oregon and New Mexico.
The statements released by the two campaigns only referred to the 3 states, Indiana, new mexico and Oregon.
California with its whopping 172 delegates, is among the states not included in the statements.
