ATV Riders Want Access To County Roads
The public was able to address concerns about ATV usage at the St. Louis County Board Meeting Tuesday morning. The new proposed ordinance would allow ATV riders the right to drive on the shoulder of county roads in St. Louis County. These roadways serve as connectors for the ATV trails. Many who came to the meeting were passionate about the proposal due to the benefits it could bring The Iron Range. According to Chisholm’s Mayor ATV usage brings in additional dollars to town.
Safety concerns fuel the opposition’s argument. Dialogue about young riders was a key piece of conversation discussed at Tuesday’s meeting.
