Woman Dies in Gnesen Township Rollover Crash
The Incident Happened Late Sunday Evening
The St. Louis Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a personal injury accident in Gnesen Township.
On Sunday around 10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 6200 block of the Howard Gnesen Road to investigate a complaint of a single vehicle rollover. Initial reports indicated that a female was trapped underneath a small electric vehicle.
The investigation further revealed 66-year-old Rolene Rogers was alone and traveling southbound on the Howard Gnesen Road when she lost control of her vehicle.
The 66-year-old Rice Lake resident was treated at the scene and transported to a Duluth hospital with life threatening injuries.
Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
Rogers passed away Tuesday at St. Luke’s Hospital as a result of injuries from the crash.
