Duluth Police Get Donation Of 20 Narcan Kits
Local Church Donated $1,500 For The Kits
Duluth Police are now able to save even more lives with the overdose reversal drug Narcan.
It’s a nasal spray emergency treatment for opioid overdoses, Monday they got a $1,500 donation from River Church in Duluth.
The money was able to buy 20 additional Narcan kits for the Department.
The church says the money came from their members, who wanted to help give people a second chance to get help.
“Their mission is to help preserve life, that’s one of the things we find really important to help people in situations they stay alive so they can get the help they need,” said Paul Ivard from River Church.
Arrowhead EMS gave the police department 100 Narcan kits they started using in the field this spring. So far 11 of those kits have been used to save a life.
