November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

Duluthian Raises Awareness for World Pancreatic Cancer Day

Northlanders are raising awareness for World Pancreatic Cancer Day.

Pamela Marshall, a Duluthian who is a strong advocate for Pancreatic Cancer awareness, was Presented a proclamation by Duluth Mayor Emily Larson, declaring November 17th 2016 as World Pancratic Cancer Day.  Pancreatic Cancer surpassed breast cancer, and is now the 3rd leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Around 660 people in Minnesota will lose their lives from the disease this year.

“My father was diagnosed August 12th 2015, with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and he passed away january 30th 2016, so it’s a cause that’s close to my heart,” said Pamela Marshall, an Advocate for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness.

The whole month of November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
