Sampling Spring Wines with an Expert

DULUTH, Minn. -Marc Carrigan, Regional Sales Manager for Foley Family Wines, stopped by the FOX 21 Studios Friday morning, with a few spring wine samples, and a whiskey.
Carrigan noticed the weather starting to warm up, and change for the better, deciding it was time to think spring and cleanse the winter palate.
“The Wine Guy” brought along two white wines, two red wines, and a whiskey to showcase.
Below is a description of the wines sampled on FOX 21 Local News.
White:
Sebastian Sauvignon Blanc – Sonoma County
-Founded back in 1904
-Rich lemongrass, citrus flavor with high acid
Lincourt Steel Chardonnay – Sta. Rita Hills
-Aged in steel barrels, not oak
-Crisp, green apple taste
Red:
Guenoc Victorian Claret – Bordeaux Region
-Winner of Editor’s Choice Award, Wine Enthusiasts
-Soft, velvety smooth taste
-$12 per bottle at local liquor stores
Whiskey:
Charles Goodnight – Kentucky Bourbon
-Aged six years
-Smooth vanilla, smoky flavor
