Folk School Hosts Beginner Bike Maintenance Class
Instructors gave hands-on lessons to bikers, showing them how to properly fix breaks and gears, as well as how to change a flat tire

DULUTH, Minn. – If you’re just getting your bike out for the season, it might be time for a little tune up. This evening, the Duluth Folk School hosted a beginner bike maintenance class.
Instructors gave hands-on lessons to bikers, showing them how to properly fix breaks and gears, as well as how to change a flat tire.
Organizers say this is a perfect time to learn about some basic repairs with many people getting used bikes at last week’s bike swap.
“When you get a bike and it’s brand new, you don’t have any problems, but then after 6 months or a year you start to have problems,” said Bryan French, director of the Duluth Folk School. “So this is a place for people to get a little empowered about how to take care of their bike.”
Wednesday’s class sold out quickly, but the Duluth Folk School will host another class on June 8th. There are still a few spots left to sign up at www.DuluthFolkSchool.com
