Super One Customers Donate For Mental Health Awareness
DULUTH, Minn. — Shoppers at Super One brought in the big bucks to raise awareness for a mental health company.
Super One customers showed their support for mental health in the Twin Ports. Using the register pin-pad, guests were able to round up their change for this cause. In April, the community was able to raise over $24,000 for The Human Development Center. The money from this campaign will go towards their child and family program. The HDC prides itself in helping people gain access to adequate mental health resources. Super One is no stranger to contributing to businesses with beneficial causes.
“Super One was really proud to partner with HDC to raise awareness for mental health. It is something we are all familiar with, and we really want to try to eliminate that stigma and raise awareness for the HDC and the great services they provide in the community,” said Susie Marchand, Digital Media Manager at Super One.
HDC has over thirty programs helping people with things such as drug abuse, homelessness and outpatient services. CEO Ben Hatfield says donations make these programs possible.
“Having community see us and join into our mission and to help is very important to us,” said Hatfield.
The HDC is always helping the community. Next month, they’re promoting education and awareness for mental health.
