Calling All Superheroes! Back-to-School Exams Offered in a Fun Way
DULUTH, Minn. — Going to the doctors can be stressful, especially for kids. So in honor of National Health Center Week, a local center is putting a spin on health care.
Lake Superior Community Health Center is hosting a Super Hero Week!
Throughout the week young hero’s could get their super powers examined for their yearly checkup.
From “laser vison and sonic hearing screenings” to a wellness exam.
“Your yearly checkup is really important, we really try to stress it from a young age,” said Lee Homan, Lake Superior Community Health Center, Chief Executive Officer. “And I think that’s part of the effort year when we’re trying to make it fun and make it so kids look forward to participating in their own health and making sure they stay on top of it.”
Kids can even try on superhero costumes, play games and receive free school supplies.
The health centers Grand Avenue location is holding its super hero week until Friday, August 9, but if your kid was busy saving the city, the Superior location will be hosting the week from August 19 to the 25.
