Minnesota Ballet Performs at Essentia Health
DULUTH, Minn.– After trying for several years, the Minnesota Ballet took their show on the road to spread some holiday spirit.
Dancers of the Minnesota Ballet visited Essentia Health and performed several scenes from the Nutcracker for visitors passing by.
In addition, they also passed out coupons for the upcoming Friday and Saturday performances. A free child ticket, with a paid adult.
Being able to put on performances in locations like a hospital, is very rewarding for the dancers.
“I think it’s something that, regardless of where you are in your life, ballet and dance can be such an escape. And can just transport people to another place where they need to be for just a few hours. And not everybody has the capability to get to the theater. And so, we wanted to bring that to people today. And even the healthcare workers, people who work so hard to take care of people. It’s really nice to come out and put out something nice for them as well,” said Brooke Bero, the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker.
The Minnesota Ballet will be performing the Nutcracker on December 13th through the 15th in the Symphony Hall at the DECC.
