Health Fair at Benedictine Duluth

DULUTH, Minn. — Benedictine and the College of St. Scholastica paired up for their annual Health Fair today.

The event was open to the community but really helped with the assisted living residents.

RELF Optical was there doing eyeglass adjustments, Tortoise and Hare were testing feet and recommending shoes, and CSS students were there providing health assessments.

“The students that were here today are exercise physiology grad students, and it was partnership with them that brought the whole idea of a health fair together, and they are learning different fitness assessments so that attendees of the fair were able to have like a strength test, vitals taken, flexibility test and endurance Test. And we love having students here connecting with the residents, because it is so close and kind of connected to our campus.” said Alicia Olson, Wellness Manager for Benedictine Assisted Living.

Olson also said the turnout was great this year, especially among residents that aren’t able to easily get out in the community.
