Duluth Fire Department Victorious In 2025 Battle of the Badges
DULUTH, Minn. – The Duluth Fire Department claimed victory in the 2025 Battle of the Badges.
It’s a friendly competition between local first responders to save lives through blood donation.
Led by Katie Sandstrom, whose passion and drive were key to their success, the Fire Department edged out their fellow heroes with 35 donors.
They were followed by Mayo Clinic Ambulance and Duluth Police.
66-donors participated across various drives hosted by Memorial Blood Centers.
Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) is one of the largest community-based, non-profit blood collection and distribution organizations in the United States.
Founded in 1948, Memorial Blood Centers have served Minnesota and Wisconsin for more than 75 years, delivering more than 125,000 lifesaving blood products annually to 50+ hospitals, EMS and healthcare partners.
