Voting concludes on some MNA contracts with agreement ratified
DULUTH, Minn. – Thousands of nurses across the Twin Cities Metro area and Duluth finished voting to ratify the new contracts.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Nurses in the agreement include all nurses at Aspirus – St. Luke’s and Critical Care Nurses at Essentia.

The new contracts include new language to fit Minnesota’s new break law, tools to address workplace violence, staffing provisions, including a one-year freeze on staffing reductions, and raises spread over the next three years.
The MNA says this was the first year in MNA history that members voted safe staffing as the top concern, over wages.
