Boots & Bling Benefit for former Twin Ports journalist
IRON RIVER, Wis. – Julie Moravchik has been a reporter and News Director in the Twin Ports.
Julie is currently undergoing treatment for Stage 2 HER2+ breast cancer.
She is now on leave from her role as News Director at WBAY in Green Bay while facing chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation.
The mom of two was a reporter at WDIO for about a decade, before becoming the first News Director here at FOX21.
Her family and friends in Northern Wisconsin are coming together for a fundraiser to help her and ease her financial burden.
Boots & Bling Benefit for Julie Moravchik event co-coordinator Kristin Geer said, “Julie has always been the first to show up for others. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. This benefit is more than a fundraiser — it’s a chance for all of us to rally around someone who has spent her life lifting others up.”
Julie, an Ino-native, graduated from Ondossagon High School near Ashland.
She went on to earn her degree from UW-Superior.
