’12 Hours of Giving’ Blood Drive with Red Cross

DULUTH, Minn. — Fox 21 is proud to announce that we are the official media sponsor of the Red Cross 12 Hours of Giving Blood Drive.

The event will be Thursday Dec 18th and Friday the 19th at The Garden Event Center.

All donors will receive a long sleeve shirt and be eligible to win prizes.

The need for blood is always present, you never know when an emergency will happen.

“I had placenta accreta in which I hemorrhaged, and they did everything they could to get the bleeding to stop. Being as I live in a small rural town, and it was Covid times, they only had two pints of blood on staff.” said Jenapher Blair, Volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Donor Program.

The Red Cross flew a few pints by helicopter to Blair and then brought her to the Twin Cities for further care.

Blair says she wouldn’t be here today without the Red Cross’s aid.
