The Move Minnesota campaign made the final stop of its duct tape tour in Duluth Thursday.
Two-hundred organizations and businesses have traveled across Minnesota, focused on finding a long-term transportation solution for state infrastructure.
The tour began after the legislative session wrapped up Monday with no solutions making it to Governor Dayton’s desk.
“We heard that there wasn’t the political will to get something done, and every stop that we’ve been at, we’ve had elected officials, locals, people who have said that there is absolutely not only a political will, but there’s a need. Our communities need these investments for safety and for the economy,” said Move Minnesota Campaign Field Director Bethany Winkels.
Campaign leaders say the duct tape is emblematic of what lawmakers have offered, Band-Aids and short–term solutions.
