Elementary School Kids Learn About the Outdoors

Hands On Activities Were Provided By Multiple Organizations

Lakewood Elementary school children enjoyed a day filled with outdoor activities as they learned about nature through hands on activities.

Local, regional, and state organizations teamed up to teach the students things such as birding, archery, and environmental story telling.

The goal of the day was to give the students a better understanding and appreciation for the environment around them.

Organizations at the event included the National Estuary Research Reserve, the Minnesota DNR, and the University of Minnesota.
