Hillside Youth Theatre Presents: Escape To Puzzle Island

Youth Theatre At Linclon Park Middle School

The Hillside Youth Theatre Program is putting on some performances this weekend.

The play is called Escape to Puzzle Island, and marks the end of a 6 week camp. There kids, ages  8 and up, learn everything from singing and choreography, to set building and costume creation.

This year’s production features 45 kids in the play and each one has an important part to play.

Jen Eddy of the Hillside Youth Theatre Program says, “It’s so amazing to see kids, it’s their 1st time, they come in, they’re completely shy, and they’re really afraid. It’s a musical, so they’re afraid to sing, and by the end of 6 weeks, which isn’t very long, they’re just up there maybe singing a solo, and they have so much confidence.”

The Hillside Youth Theatre will also be preforming Escape to Puzzle Island Friday at 1PM and 7PM at Lincoln Park Middle School.
