Mama Duck Hatches Ducklings In Essentia Health Courtyard For Third Time

SUPERIOR, Wis. — A mama duck recently hatched ducklings in the courtyard at Essentia Health in Superior.

But because it’s enclosed, the only way out is to prop open a few doors and let her do the rest by guiding her babies to safety.

Melissa Walrath and her fellow co-workers in Outpatient Surgery took this video.

Melissa says this is the third time mama duck has had ducklings in the courtyard — two of them were this year alone.
