Farmer Doug’s Tree Farm gaining statewide attention

DULUTH, Minn.– Tis the season for trees, and many of the local tree farms are now in full swing.

Some of the customers are traveling hours to make the trek for their perfect tree.

Farmer Doug said, it’s been a slow fall season.

Now, pumpkins are done, and winter has finally shown itself.

They’re fully stocked with their supply of Christmas trees and wreathes.

But also, an experience families won’t forget.

“I’m trying to get kids to understand how and where they’re the products come from and where they’re grown, how they’re grown. Put a face behind some of it, and I guess it’s my smiling face,” beamed Farmer Doug Hoffbauer.

Just like all of these trees around the farm, Farmer Doug told FOX 21 their economic impact is growing more each and every year.

“We’re now starting to see that other people from the like the Bentleyville experience, they’re coming up here, and they’re partaking in not only that, but other things that are going on in other farms around here. So, we’re proud to be a part of that,” said Farmer Doug.

Farmer Doug will keep the shop open for the next couple of weeks, to ensure both the wreathes and trees find homes for the holidays.
