Snow Fall, and the Lack There Of, In The Northland
Some Areas Snow, While Others See Rain
Downtown Duluth and Superior saw rainfall throughout the day, but inches of snow fell on other parts of the Northland.
Just days ago, temperatures were up to the 50’s and 60’s but Wednesday, over 6 inches of snow covered some parts of the Northland.
Many of the area schools were closed, and community members could be seen shoveling their sidewalks and driveways.
“I have to go to work so, hopefully I don’t get stuck there,” said Meghan Murnane, a student from The University of Minnesota Duluth
“I went down to mexico for spring break and then I come back to this,” said Murnane.
Meanwhile, in downtown Duluth and Superior, it was a different story. For most of the day, all that was hitting the ground was rain.
Island Lake saw the heaviest snowfall at over 8 inches.
