DULUTH, Min, – Thank you so much for coming out to our inaugural Twin Ports “12 Hours of Giving,” blood drive.

We may have impacted more than 275-lives with your donations.

FOX21 and the Red Cross teamed-up to help fill the holiday shortage of blood.

FOX21 & Red Cross Blood Drive

This blood drive was a serious thing, but also felt like a party of generosity.

“It’s so much fun because we’ve had live music and lots of door prices from local businesses have supported us. we’ve had the red cross holiday long sleeve t shirt, which is pretty handy when it’s so cold outside with the weather that we’ve had photo backdrop,” said Matthew Foor of the Red Cross.  “Santa was here [Thursday]. we had buddy the blood drop and catered food by Bellisio, I’m telling you, we had one donor come in and said, ‘oh, I thought the food was for the staff’. I said, no, it’s for the special people. You the donors that are donating!

During the holiday season, we often see a decrease in donations, because people are so busy. Plus there is also an increase in needs.

The blood drive was on December 18 & 19, 2025.
