Northern Waters Smokehaus appears on “Triple D Nation”

DULUTH, Minn. — Grab your popcorn, grab your snacks, and hunker down in front of the TV, because this local eatery is featured on a popular Food Network Show.

In 2010, Northern Waters Smokehaus appeared on “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives,” hosted by food personality star, Guy Fieri. Recently, the restaurant returned for the spin-off series “Triple D Nation.” The show checks in on restaurants previously featured and explores how they have evolved.

“We really experienced a lot of growth in the first about five years after they came to us, which increased our demand and allowed us to kind of have the demand to move into an even bigger space and do more things. So it’s really, really great,” said Greg Conley, Human Resources Coordinator, Northern Waters Smokehaus.

While the restaurant has expanded over the years, the focus has stayed the same, creating a place where the community can come together through events.

Conley added, “our wine and jazz night is a perfect example of that. It’s every week we have a huge audience that loves to come down just for that, so we’re really interested in using our space for those kind of community minded things. Obviously, we wouldn’t be anywhere without the community.”

The episode airs on the Food Network channel at 8 p.m. Central Time on Jan. 16.
