Chisholm City Hall Receives Grant
Grant To Be Used For Building Upgrades
The Chisholm City Hall is getting some big upgrades, and it’s benefiting not only the city, but also the community of Chisholm.
The Chisholm City hall received a $250,000 grant from the Iron Range Resource and Rehabilitation Board.
It’s part of the $2.3 million dollar stimulus grant program that provides funding to help cities and townships with public works projects.
“We want a handicap bathroom set up, and we’re continually moving forward with these projects to get things done,” said Mike Jugovich, the mayor of Chisholm.
The grant award is for the upgrades to the city hall, which is now also the home of Ironbound Studios Minnesota.
“Iron Bound Studios is a full service production studio, so we will house feature films, commercials, television projects,” said Jerry Seppala, the CEO and Founder of Ironbound Studios.
Seppala says the upgrades to the building is beneficial to not only the city, but to the company as well, and that the company will help with job creation and economic growth in Chisolm and the surrounding region.
