Ikidarod: Local Kids Try Out Dog-Sledding

 Second graders from NorthShore Community school competed in the 9th annual Ikidarod Race Friday. The students have been learning about dog-sledding in the classroom over the past month.

Teacher Anne Limpela created the event nine years ago to give students the opportunity to run a dog-sled race. The race has six check points each one staffed with parents.
