Remembering Armand With A Special Gift
Two Cloquet teachers are keeping a special student’s memory alive.
Armand Garza lost his battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy this past August.
Debbie Roach and Cathy Schroder wanted to pay tribute to the former student they lost too soon.
The teachers are raising awareness and money to get a special swing on the Churchill Elementary School playground. The Sway Swing can accommodate both children who in wheelchairs and their peers at the same time.
The swing will be a reminder of the vivacious little boy who was adored by everyone.
Debbie Roach said,”The kids could play together on this piece of equipment so we are trying to fund raise to be able to buy that for the school”
The cost of the sway swing will cost about $20,000 and if you’d like to help out donations for the swing are being accepted by the Cloquet Youth Baseball And Softball Association.
