St. Louis County Board Members Get ‘Mer-Rye’

St. Louis County board members ended the year on one very tasty note. 

Mer-Rye, a rye bake-off was held at the courthouse thanks to the creativity and donation of Commissioner Keith Nelson. 

Nelson gave each participant a five pound bag of rye and the challenge to cook something fierce with the grain. 

Commissioner Nelson said, “I wanted to highlight agriculture in St. Louis County. I don’t think there are a lot of people who understand that Agriculture products in St. Louis County comprise over 17– millions annually”

The event featured all kinds of rye based delicacies.
