Though it’s around 20 degrees above average for this time of year,  it’s Winter Hazard Awareness Week in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

The annual campaign is held to remind us that now is the time to get ready before the cold and winter weather hits us.

Officials say approximately 45 people are killed in Wisconsin due to snow and ice related car accidents.

Officials recommend that drivers keep a winter storm survival kit in their cars.
