The University of Wisconsin-Superior kicked off their 3rd annual Jacket Racket with a car smash.

Students took swings at a car donated by two staff members for a dollar a hit, with all proceeds going to the school food shelf.

“Someone saw on the internet that they’ve done car smashes before so we were like, that’s a fun event and who doesn’t want to smash a car?” said Emily Johnson, a student at UWS who was also on the planning committee.

Other festivities throughout the week include what they call a nearly naked mile, a hockey game, and ice skating.
