Right in front of Pete’s Tower and Service, a boy laid helplessly waiting for first responders to arrive.
Workers at that repair shop did not wait however for the fire department before they sprang into action.
Workers from Pete’s brought out jacks and with help from other bystanders were able to lift the weight of the car off of the boy, until rescue crews arrived.
“It helped him immensely, i don’t know if it saved his life or not but it possibly saved his life. It definitely made his injuries more manageable,” said Chief Scott Gordon.
The fire chief said the efforts of the bystanders saved the boy from sitting in pain and also saved the fire department the minutes it would have taken them to secure the car.
The fire department went over to the intersection today to thank those who helped again for their efforts.
