Rep. Jennifer Schultz announces Run for Re-Election for District 7A Seat

Representative Jennifer Schultz officially announced Wednesday that she will run for re-election.

Schultz represents Duluth in the District 7A seat in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

She is currently wrapping up her freshman term in St. Paul after being elected in 2014 to succeed long-time Representative Tom Huntley.

The seat was held by Huntley for 11 terms.

Schultz is an economics professor at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

She says Minnesota faces many challenges in the next few years, such as improving transportation infrastructure and expanding pre-school programs and financing for K-12 education.
