The Lake Superior Zoo hosted Cub Club, a program that teaches four and five year old children about Animals, and at this month’s event, the children learned about predatory animals through activities like exploring the zoo, and art.

Grand Avenue is under construction but the staff at the zoo have planned an accessible route and designated a spot for over flow parking. They will also be running shuttles so that families can get to the zoo to enjoy the event.

Students gathered from seven different high schools in the area. In the weeks leading up to the visit, local attorneys visited classrooms to help students understand the supreme court oral argument process.

Students from the College of St. Scholastica spent time giving back to the Twin Ports for the school’s Community Day Volunteer event.

University of Minnesota Duluth’s Dr. Alec Habig worked with Dr. Kajita to discover that Neutrinos, the 2nd most numerous subatomic particle in the Universe, shifts identities in space.

The workshop served in part as a memoriam to the asbestos-related research of Dr. Philip Cook who passed away in 2013. Topics like the geological history of the region, and the relationships between mining and Public health were discussed
