City of Hermantown Saving Nearly $1 Million

The City of Hermantown is saving nearly $1 million in interest over the next ten years. On Monday, October 3, 2016, the City Council approved re-financing $5,455,000 of debt on the existing Governmental Services building.

Activists Work to Shut Down Tar Sands Oil Pipelines

Activists protesting the movement of Tar Sands Oil from Canada into the United States took action today against five pipelines, including pipelines operated by Enbridge Energy and TransCanada in Minnesota and North Dakota.
