On 3–31–15 at approx. 7:00 P.M. Bayfield Co. Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a person, possibly drowning in Spider Lake, Town of Iron River, after falling through the ice.
A 15-year-old Ashland boy has pleaded guilty to killing his father.
On Wednesday March 11, at about 2 p.m. a deputy from the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Department made a traffic stop on a suspect vehicle in several armed robberies that had occurred in the city of Hayward, the city of Rice Lake and the city of Ashland.
Around this time last year thousands of people were flocking to Bayfield for a pilgrimage to the ice caves.
They were a hit that ignited in the 1950s and have since made a comeback – vinyl records. After all these years, sales are once again thriving.
