According to the World Health Organization common signs of infection include:

Most common symptoms:

  • fever.
  • dry cough.
  • tiredness.

Less common symptoms:

  • aches and pains.
  • sore throat.
  • diarrhea.
  • conjunctivitis.
  • headache.
  • loss of taste or smell.
  • a rash on the skin, or discoloration of fingers or toes.

Serious symptoms:

  • difficulty breathing or shortness of breath.
  • chest pain or pressure.
  • loss of speech or movement.

Prevention Recommendations

According to the World Health Organization standard recommendations to prevent the spread of infection include:

  • regular hand washing
  • covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing
  • throw tissue into closed bin immediately after use
  • avoid close contact with others when experiencing cough and fever
  • avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
