UWS was one of the schools selected to receive the grant from the NCAA, which funds a two-year internship enhancing ethnic minority and gender representation in athletics.

Now through Saturday, people can donate to support any of their 22 different varsity programs or to the general athletic department.

Even athletes who compete this fall will be eligible for an extra year under the new rule.

The NSIC says they will continue to explore opportunities to play fall sports in the spring.

The Grand Rapids native signed with CD Carbajosa in Spain, which competes in the LEB Silver League.
